Music Performances

The “Uncle Ho names him Tran Dai Nghia” play)

Our class, representing Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, performed at the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City's Conference, summarizing political education tasks. The play, a historical depiction of the moment when our beloved Uncle Ho gave Major General, Professor, Academician, Hero of Labor, Pham Quang Le the new name “Tran Dai Nghia”, was a labor of love. We practiced tirelessly for three weeks and performed in both languages at the Conference, receiving praise from teachers and the audience for the depth of emotion we evoked.

Happersuit (Foreign Language Department’s Singing Contest 2024-2025)

For the Happersuit (Foreign Language Department's Singing Contest 2024-2025) performance, I was entrusted with the role of director and choreographer. This performance, which featured 60 students from two classrooms, was a testament to our unity and collaboration. Despite the initial challenges stemming from differing perspectives and  sophistication and grace.

Vietnamese Teachers’ Day Singing Contest 2023-2024

For the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day Singing Contest 2023-2024, our class was paired with the seniors to perform a cultural stage featuring traditional Vietnamese melodies, dances, and costumes. We were crowned champions and later handpicked to perform at the Youth Camp 9/1 — a Traditional Day of Vietnamese Students — in front of 6 other high schools.

Cinderella (Foreign Language Department’s Celebrities on Air Contest 2023-2024)

Performance

For the Foreign Language Department’s Celebrities on Air Contest in 2024, our class performed an act from the legendary Disney movie “Cinderella”. I was cast as the main female lead, served as the script supervisor, and contributed to the choreography. Once again, we were announced as the winners of the contest, and our performance video garnered more than 10,000 interactions on Facebook.

Live performance

After the contest, we were chosen to perform at the school’s Music Festival as special guests. The live performance was much more challenging, given the play’s complexity and the need to change costumes on stage. Still, with unwavering determination and devotion, we delivered a well-rounded performance and were proudly admired by other students.

Vietnamese Teachers’ Day Singing Contest 2025-2026

Continuing the success of the “Happersuit” performance, approximately 50 students from our alliance came together to practice the song “Prosperous Vietnam Shines Brightly”, which celebrates the beauty and resilience of Vietnam. The unique remark of this performance was my class taking pride in Vietnamese traditional clothes from different ethnic groups. I was handed the gorgeous “Nhat Binh” from the Nguyen dynasty, and it left an indelible memory for me: feeling deeply grateful for my ancestors and culture while being praised by patriotic judges and peers. I realized my ultimate objective was to try my best to study abroad and then use what I have learned to be a small brick that forms a new Vietnam, getting closer to the world, while also bringing the world closer.

Guest Performance (with my cousins at my aunt’s wedding in 2024)

In addition to being one of the planners for my aunt’s wedding, I also took on the role of choreographer for an exceptional guest performance that included all my cousins. With little time to practice, as we were also studying for our first-semester finals at the time, I tried to incorporate more accessories and varied formations to make the stage appear more lively. We performed in front of more than 400 people and were praised for our effort and synchronization.

Vietnamese Teachers’ Day Singing Contest 2024-2025

After winning first place in 2023, we decided to challenge ourselves with a performance that combined singing and dancing. It was a song about our love and desire to travel around Vietnam, accompanied by traditional ao dai and a palm-leaf conical hat. Although we did not win a major prize, we definitely enjoyed singing Vietnamese melodies, practicing together, and overcoming hardships.

Dance class performance (2022)

In the summer of 2022, I started taking dance classes out of curiosity and interest. Despite being initially scared of not doing well enough, I was encouraged by my teachers and friends. At the end of the class, we organized a concert to perform our dances for one another, and our performance was one of the highlights of the day. It taught me a lesson to never let fear take over us and to step out of our comfort zones to widen our horizons. I am deeply grateful for this experience.

Piano

I began learning the piano at seven, guided by my father’s patient hands. Each note carried warmth, not pressure — just quiet nights filled with melodies and heartfelt conversations. The piano became my safe place, where every sound felt like a small exchange between us. Over time, those moments grew into something more profound: a love for music itself. Playing was no longer just about technique, but about feeling and connection. Through the piano, I discovered not only my passion for music and performing but also the transformative power of art. This realization has guided me towards pursuing a career in the music business and music-related media.

Sports

Sports have always been a vital part of my life, offering both joy and balance. I love the energy and connection that come with every game, whether it is basketball, volleyball, badminton, or even running. Among them, basketball holds a special place in my heart. Representing my school in Ho Chi Minh City’s basketball contest for female secondary students and earning a bronze medal was not only an achievement but also a reminder of the power of teamwork and trust. I also joined a fundraising running event last year, where every step felt meaningful, blending fitness with purpose. Through sports, I have learned to communicate better, stay resilient under pressure, and find relaxation in motion — lessons that continue to shape who I am beyond the court.
